Here are a few tips to help keep your House of Hobson furniture in the best condition:

Your hardwood table is susceptible to the effects of temperature and humidity and should not be placed directly next to a radiator or other strong heat sources such as a log burner which could cause the wood to warp. Its colour and condition may also be affected by being left in direct sunlight. 

House of Hobson furniture is made of solid wood and finished in a breathable oil finish and wax. It is “water resistant” but we recommend that you wipe up any spillages immediately and dry completely to avoid damage. Use coasters for drinks, as ring marks left by them may be irreversible. 

The wooden areas of your table can be cleaned with a slightly moist, non-abrasive cloth. Do not use sprays or bleaches as this may damage the finish. If your furniture has Danish cord it should be hoovered - do not use any moisture on it (it’s made of compacted paper!)
