Jake Hobson is a designer-maker based in South Devon.

After graduating from the London College of Furniture, Jake set up his bespoke furniture making company, House of Hobson, in 2007. Since then, Jake’s worked on commissions for everyone from Historic Royal Palaces and local homeowners, to primary schools and established artists. 

Between commissions, Jake designed and made furniture for his growing family and home. These personal pieces were so popular with friends and clients that Jake launched his Otto furniture collection in 2020. You can take a look here. 

Jake takes inspiration from Scandinavian and Mid-Century design, the distinctive clean lines of Japanese aesthetics, and the rolling hills of his South Hams home. Form, function, and durability are at the heart of House of Hobson — beautiful, hard-working creations that will last a lifetime.
